All regular orders are shipped via USPS First-Class Mail within 3 business days of payment confirmation. During the Holiday season (starting November 1st), regular orders will be shipped within 5 business days. US orders can be expected to be delivered within 2-5 days after shipping. International orders are typically 1-3 weeks. Please note: estimated delivery time is based from the day the order ships, not always the day it is placed! Please allow 3 business days for the tracking information to update before contacting us. The shipping method chosen does not change the standard 3 business days processing time.
Orders are shipped once all items are available for shipment. If you're ordering a pre-sale, personalized, or custom item, along with an in-stock item, your order will ship once all items are available.
We are not responsible for lost and damaged items that are not insured. Once they are dropped off, we are no longer responsible for the package. Packages shipped via Priority Mail come with $50 insurance.
Orders are shipped during business hours, Monday through Friday. We like to celebrate holidays just as much as you do, so orders are not shipped on those days. Unless otherwise notified, you can expect your package to arrive in the window of time indicated above. Unfortunately, we can't hand-deliver every single package, so any delays with the USPS due to weather, holidays, or anything else are out of our control. You will receive an email notification as soon as your package is in on the way!
Some items have different processing times, like personalized items. When viewing an item on our site, an item with a longer processing time than the standard 1-3 business days will have that indicated in the "details" section. For example, it will read, "due to the personalization of this item, please allow up to two weeks for this to ship".
Standard shipping is through USPS First-Class Mail. If in the US, your order should arrive in 3-7 business days. International orders can take up to about 10 days to arrive. We also offer Priority Mail Shipping, which you can select during the checkout process. Priority Mail orders should arrive in 1-3 business days.

We use a weight-based shipping method, due to the wide range of items that we offer. Each item is assigned a weight, so when you add all of your items to your cart, it has a total weight. The shipping method(s) available to you at checkout are based on the weight of your order.
We package our jewelry on cards and slip them into bags. They're packaged in an indestructible shipping box with crinkle paper. If you're sending items as a gift, we will gladly include a gift note. When viewing your cart, you'll see a text box where you can include a note. Prices or paper receipts are not included in shipments.
We're sorry to hear you'd like to return an item. If you simply changed your mind, you have 15 days to return the item(s) to receive a full refund. Inventory turns over pretty quickly at Elisabeth Ashlie HQ, so we want to process returns as quickly as possible. If it's past the 15 day mark, you will receive a refund in the amount of 50%. You are responsible for return shipping postage. For any and all questions relating to returns and exchanges, send an email to email@example.com.
To return an item:
1. Package up any unworn items in a protected manner. Returned items that are damaged in the mail due to faulty packaging will not be accepted. For example, earrings with posts should be shipped in a box or wrapped in protective wrapping that will not damage posts. If posts are bent due to poor packing materials, the will not be accepted for a return.
2. Include your full name, order number and a brief description. Returns without this information cannot be processed.
Once we receive the return, a refund will be assessed based on our refund policy above. Returns are typically processed in 7-10 business days.
Due to the nature of personalized and customizable items, all sales are final. Unless the item is damaged or not as described, we cannot accept returns on those items.
Many of the materials used in these products are plated. Plated materials have a thin layer of gold, silver, or rose gold over a base metal core, like brass. They can and will rub off, especially during contact with moisture or lotions. Due to this, we cannot accept returns on items just because they have turned (or the finish has rubbed off). Send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, with subject line: Cancel Order #(insert order #). Sending an email does not automatically cancel your order! If we haven't begun processing your order, we will walk you through the cancellation process. If the order has already shipped, you will need to ship the package back to us for a refund.
Fraud prevention is very important, so your card likely failed due to a typo. Double check your billing address, zip code, credit card number, expiration date, and CVV. If all is correct and it still fails, email us at email@example.com.
If your order has not shipped yet and the promotion is still active, we will happily apply the discount. If your order has already shipped or the promotion has expired, we cannot retroactively apply the discount. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We highly recommend setting up an account! You can create an account with us here. You can also create one during the checkout process. When you create an account, you will be able to easily track your orders, view your order history, and store payment information for faster checkouts.
Most of our items are made of plated base metals. Plated metals means that there's just a thin layer of the plating - gold, silver or rose gold - over a (typically) brass core. While we hope that you love your new Elisabeth Ashlie piece(s), they're not meant to be worn 24/7. Tarnishing of your jewelry can occur with exposure to moisture, aerosols, perfumes, lotions, and even the natural oils on your skin. For some, the color won't wear for a very long time, for others, it can wear off quickly (usually due to the oils on your skin!).
+ storing your jewels in a cool, dry place
+ putting your necklace on just before you head out the door - save it from your hairspray overspray, perfume spritz, and that humidity in the bathroom right after you shower
+ not wearing it every single day - have enough options that you can rotate what you're wearing often
+ wiping it down after wear - clearing off the oil from your skin and any inadvertent water/moisture that gets on it throughout the day
Any of our items listed as sterling silver, gold-filled or 14k dipped will withstand much more wear, exposure and can be worn regularly!

We recommend storing your jewelry in a jewelry box or other enclosed storage container. Try to avoid any contact with moisture, water, perfumes, aerosol sprays, and the like. Plated metals will likely "turn" over time, so it's especially important to care for them!
Unless you happen to know the exact length that works well for you, it can be difficult to decide! Our best piece of advice is to take a necklace that you like the length of, unclasp it and lay it out in a straight line. With a ruler, measure from end to end and mark down the length. Most necklaces are between 16"-20", so it will likely fall within that range.

Unfortunately, layering necklaces will get tangled together! Since our necks are rounded and we move our heads a lot, it's natural for the chains to roll together. We recommend unrolling them throughout the day, whenever you think of it. That way, they won't get so rolled up that they get stuck.
