Elisabeth Ashlie is an online boutique + the creator of The Dearly Box. What started as a late-night hobby in 2010 between sisters, Lauren and Kate, turned into an international company just a few years later. EA is now run by the younger sister, Lauren, from her apartment office in Chicago, IL. While our roots are in handmade jewelry, we've had so much fun expanding into curated jewels, accessories, paper products, and other goods. We added our jewelry subscription box, The Dearly Box, in October of 2015. The challenge and excitement of launching a new branch of our business has been wonderful (and a learning experience)!
To Create: Our roots are in handmade jewelry and that's where they will always stay. We love the process of starting with raw materials and creating something that our customers love and that won't break the bank!
To Be Accessible: We believe good style should always be accessible, so we're here to make that happen. From the wide variety of jewelry we offer to our killer prices, we want you to be able to find something you love every time you visit our site.
To Give Back: We consider ourselves truly blessed to be able to do something that we love every single day and enjoy the fruits of that labor. We always have at least one product with a charitable element because we believe in helping those who need it and being generous with what we've been given.
Lauren Pedersen is the owner and CJM (Chief Jewelry Maker) for Elisabeth Ashlie. Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Lauren got her bachelor's degree in Fashion & Textile Management from North Carolina State University. After a couple internships and odd jobs, Lauren realized that, if she put more time and effort into her hobby business, she would be able to do what she loves every single day. She went full time with Elisabeth Ashlie shortly after moving to the Gold Coast neighborhood of Chicago in 2013. Two moves later, a few website changes, and that addition of a part-time assistant, Elisabeth Ashlie has grown into something she could've never imagined. Lauren considers it a true joy to share her passion for style and creativity with the world through her company.
Elisabeth Ashlie expanded in the fall of 2015 when we added our first in-office assistant! She takes care of everything from social media to The Dearly Box (and regular Starbucks runs). She plays a crucial role in the success of Elisabeth Ashlie (and Lauren's sanity).
