Styling Guide || November Dearly Box

Posted on November 08, 2015 by Lauren Pedersen | 0 comments

Something that I thought would be a fun thing to do each month is share some ideas for how to style the pieces you received in your Dearly Box. (If you don't know what the Dearly Box is, you can find out more here!) One of my favorite things to do when I get a new accessory is to figure out ways that I can incorporate it into the my wardrobe and personal style. What I love about the Dearly Box is that it can push you just a little bit outside of your style comfort zone and encourage you to try new things with your outfits!

If you received the November Dearly Box, here are some ideas for how you can incorporate the jewels into your everyday outfits:

I love how simple this long pendant necklace is. It's the perfect addition to an easy and fuss-free outfit. Whether you're doing errands, enjoying a weekend afternoon, or running around with your kids, it can round out an outfit and make you feel just that much more put together.
The faceted glass stone earrings were probably my favorite item in the box. They're so delicate and pretty. They're also pretty functional for a jewelry wardrobe because they can be used to dress up a casual outfit, or a fancier one!

The delicate leaf necklace is perfect for this time of year! Layered with other delicate necklaces, or worn on its own, it's a great addition to just about any look!

The simple disc stud earrings are perfect for everyday wear! I like how the Rose Gold picks up the pink in my blouse, too!

We sent all of the knot cuffs out, but I wanted to show you an easy way to wear it. If you wear a watch or other bracelets, you can easily add your new cuff to your stack!

Be sure to tag us on Instagram or Twitter if you share how you style your #dearlybox goods!

What's Inside The Dearly Box: November

Posted on November 06, 2015 by Lauren Pedersen | 0 comments

Now that the first batch of Dearly Boxes have been shipped, we're so excited to share with you what was inside! We had a few different versions of the box, depending on how someone classified their style and what type of jewelry they wear most often. The box that I'm sharing today was just one of the versions of the boxes that went out!

With each box, we'll have a couple of items that every person receives. For November, everyone received a delicate leaf necklace and a pair of the faceted glass stone earrings. The leaf necklace came in gold, silver, and rose gold and is the perfect necklace for layering! The glass stone earrings came in silver or gold and in a variety of colors, like black, emerald, champagne, charcoal grey, and mint. Each box also included a pair of elastic hair ties, those coming in different combinations, too!

From there, the fun begins! For those that indicated that they wear necklaces most often, we included a long pendant necklace. The bracelet wearers got this cute knot cuff, and those that favored earrings got a new pair of studs for everyday wear!

Another great perk of The Dearly Box is the amazing deal you're getting! As you can see below, an average Dearly Box is worth over $50! That means you're saving more than $20 on a box filled with beautiful accessories. Seriously, why haven't you ordered next month's yet?

What I love about this box is that it's a perfect gift, for yourself or someone you hold dear ;)

Our minds are already on the December box, so make sure that you order yours today!

Oh! And you can now subscribe to The Dearly Box! Sign up for a month-to-month, 3 month, or 6 month subscription to be part of the fun here!

EA is Hiring!

Posted on August 07, 2015 by Lauren Pedersen | 0 comments

It's an exciting day over here at Elisabeth Ashlie HQ! I've been a one-woman show for just about 2 years (after my business partner/sister handed the biz over to me in 2013) and am finally ready to bring on an extra set of hands to work alongside me. If you're new around here, Elisabeth Ashlie is a handmade and curated jewelry + goods business. I sell exclusively handmade items on Etsy, and a collection of handmade and curated things here on ElisabethAshlie.com. I work from my apartment in Chicago, although the Starbucks down the street is basically my office, as well :)

Interested? Great! Keep reading!

I have a list about a mile long of things that I would love to hand over to an assistant, but in an effort to be less overwhelming, here are a few of the main responsibilities you will have:

  • fulfilling/shipping orders
  • maintaining inventory
  • reaching out to bloggers/social influencers for brand promotions and connections
  • managing social media accounts (mostly Instagram, but we also have Twitter and Facebook)
  • and much more!

Of course, you will be fully trained and equipped to do all of these things (and more!). You'll be working right alongside me in my home office, so I'm hoping for it to be a collaborative environment. Creativity and a willingness to share ideas is key!

If you have experience with Photoshop/PSD photo editing and/or operating and shooting with a DSLR camera, that's a plus! Experience in retail, marketing, branding, or social promotion is preferred, but not required. The only thing that is required is a willingness to learn and a solid work ethic. And not being allergic to cats - I have two!

Where/When/How Much:

  • Where: we will be working out of my apartment in Chicago (so you'll need to be able to travel to/from there)
  • When: starting out at 10-15 hours per week (2-3 days) || hoping to start in September!
  • How much: you will be compensated!

If you'd like to apply, please send a résumé (with relevant experience), links to social media profiles, and a little bit about yourself and why you'd be a great fit to hello@elisabethashlie.com with subject line "EA Assistant".

If I think you'll be a good fit, we'll set up a time to meet!
